B. bei der Halbleiterherstellung, der chemischen Gasphasenabscheidung (CVD) und der physikalischen Gasphasenabscheidung (PVD). Diese Materialien sind von entscheidender Bedeutung f\u00fcr die Herstellung qualitativ hochwertiger Beschichtungen. Platin ist ein dichtes, verformbares und sehr unreaktives \u00dcbergangsmetall mit au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlicher Korrosionsbest\u00e4ndigkeit, selbst bei hohen Temperaturen. Es ist das am wenigsten reaktive Metall unter sechs Metallen (Pt, Pd, Os, Ir, Rh und Ru). Es bleibt unempfindlich gegen\u00fcber Sauerstoff und Wasser und ist nur in K\u00f6nigswasser oder geschmolzenen Alkalien l\u00f6slich. Platin-Verdampfungsmaterial zeichnet sich durch eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Reinheit aus, die in der Regel 99,95 % \u00fcbersteigt und eine hochwertige Schichtabscheidung mit minimalen Verunreinigungen gew\u00e4hrleistet. Es hat einen Schmelzpunkt von 1.772\u00b0C, eine Dichte von 21,4 g\/cc und einen Dampfdruck von <sup> 10-4<\/sup> Torr bei 1.747\u00b0C. Es ist ein strahlendes, silbrig-wei\u00dfes Metall, das eine auff\u00e4llige \u00c4hnlichkeit mit Palladium aufweist.
