Il est appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 pour son excellente conductivit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique, sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 absorber l&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne. Ce fil de m\u00e9tal pr\u00e9cieux, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement propos\u00e9 dans des diam\u00e8tres allant de l&#8217;ultrafin \u00e0 plusieurs millim\u00e8tres, se caract\u00e9rise par ses niveaux de puret\u00e9, souvent sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 99,95 %.
