Description

Vanadium Powder is a form of the chemical element vanadium, which is a hard, silvery-grey, malleable transition metal. The powder form of vanadium has a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. The properties of Vanadium Powder include excellent conductive and insulating properties. It has a resistivity of 24.8-26.0 μΩ-cm at 20°C and a particle size of -325 mesh. Vanadium Powder also has a high melting point, with some sources citing it as 1,910°C. It exhibits corrosion resistance yet dissolves in nitric, hydrofluoric, and concentrated sulfuric acids. When exposed to alkali, it forms water-soluble vanadates. Displaying a metal’s and nonmetal characteristics gives rise to a diverse range of complex compounds. Importantly, in its metal state, it is non-toxic.
